High school softball: Flowery Branch tops East Hall 7-0

Nikki Harris allowed just two hits over five innings in the circle for Flowery Branch in a 7-0 win against East Hall on Monday. Alyssa Wagner threw two innings of hitless relief for the Lady Falcons. MaKaela Davis had a solo homer in the sixth inning for Flowery Branch. 

Aubrey Bourrie and Lauren Hicks had multi-hit games for the Lady Falcons. 

NORTH HALL 21, CHEROKEE BLUFF 5: North Hall pushed 11 runs across the plate in the first inning on Monday. 

Anna Reeves, Bre Stowers, Kristen Dowdy, Kendal Clackum, Kinsley Kirby and Kristina Peach each drove in runs for the Lady Trojans. 

Up next, North Hall faces Lumpkin County at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday.

BUFORD 5, WALNUT GROVE 1: Olivia Duncan threw a complete game with eight strikeouts and allowed four hits for the Lady Wolves (24-4, 13-0 Region 8-6A) on Monday. 

Mackenzie Pickens had a two-run homer for Buford. Madison Pickens was 2 for 3 with an RBI, while Emmy Hall was 2 for 4 for the Lady Wolves. 

Up next, Buford hosts Winder-Barrow at 5 p.m. Thursday.
