High school softball: East Hall pounds Cedar Shoals

Abi Mullins, Ansley Ivey, Alexis Burce and Graice Ausborn each had multiple hits as East Hall finished the game with 16 hits in a 14-1 win against Cedar Shoals on Wednesday. 

Calli Hardison threw a hitless first inning for the Lady Vikings to earn the victory. 

FLOWERY BRANCH 11, JEFFERSON 0: Savanna Rutledge was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs for the Lady Falcons on Wednesday. 

BUFORD SWEEPS SHILOH: The Lady Wolves took both ends of a doubleheader, 17-0 and 11-0 on Wednesday in Buford. In Game 1, Abbi Perkins was 2 for 3 with a solo homer, four RBIs and two runs scored. Also for Buford, Adrianna Martinez was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. 

Mackenzie Pickens was 3 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs, while Emmy Hall was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and three runs. 

In the nightcap, Morgan Sullivan picked up the win for Buford, throwing three innings and allowed just three hits. Taylor Malvin had a pair of triples with an RBI and two runs, while Pickens had a double, sacrifice fly, two RBIs and a run scored. 

Up next, the Lady Wolves (22-4) host Habersham Central at 5 p.m. Thursday.
