The North Hall volleyball team traveled to Gwinnett County on Thursday and came away with wins over Johnson (25-10, 23-25, 25-20) and Lanier (25-14, 25-16).

Kathryn Bell had 23 assists, four digs and three aces, while Lauren Gregory added seven kills, 15 digs and five aces for the Lady Trojans.

Megan Cox (20 digs) and Tess Patton (10 kills, two aces and one block) played well for North Hall, which plays at home on Tuesday.

JEFFERSON 2, JACKSON COUNTY 0:
The Lady Dragons won Thursday, 25-11, 25-22. Cassie Metcalf had five aces and three kills, Amanda Daniel had two kills and 12 assists, Taylor Cramsey had three aces and eight kills, Eden Starnes had two aces and two kills and Sarah Wood had three aces four kills and two assists for Jefferson (18-5, 7-0 Area 8-A/AA).

The Lady Dragons play host to Lakeview Academy and Prince Avenue at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

BUFORD WINS TWO AT ARCHER: The Lady Wolves defeated Archer 25-8, 25-9 and Chestatee 25-20, 25-5 on Thursday.

Nancy Mattox had 12 kills, Jenna Falletta had 30 assists and Maggie Roper had 23 kills and 11 digs for Buford (20-5, 0-2 Area 6-A/AA), which plays Greater Atlanta Christian at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Paideia tournament.

GAINESVILLE WINS TWO AT DULUTH:
The Lady Red Elephants defeated Duluth (14-25, 25-21, 25-14) and Meadowcreek (25-14, 25-8) on Thursday.

Anna Walker had six aces, five kills and four blocks, Laura Beth Lorentz had eight aces and 18 kills and Katelyn Whelchel had four aces, 15 kills and four blocks to lead Gainesville (3-9, 0-4 Area 8-AAA).

The Lady Red Elephants visit Johnson for a playdate with East Hall at 5 p.m. Thursday.

WEST HALL SWEEPS AT EAST JACKSON:
With a 25-16, 25-15 win over Rabun County and a 25-22, 25-4 win over East Jackson, the Lady Spartans improved their season record to 13-9 overall (0-2 Region 8-AAA).

Nicolette Ashely had 22 digs, Laykin Herford had 39 assists, LaNeisha Kearse had 16 kills and Stephanie Rowland had nine kills for West Hall, which visits North Hall for a playdate with Chestatee at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY WINS TWO:
Led by Molly Gay’s 21 assists, the Lady Lions beat Tallulah Falls (25-12, 21-25, 25-11) and Lumpkin County (25-10, 25-11) on Thursday in Tallulah Falls.

Lakeview Academy (12-14, 5-4 Area 8-A/AA) visits Jefferson for a playdate with Prince Avenue at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

JOHNSON SPLITS WITH NORTH HALL AND LANIER: Brittany Panter had seven assists and Caitlin Sloan had four kills and two blocks to lead the Lady Knights to a 25-16, 25-19 win over Lanier on Thursday.

In a 10-25, 25-23, 20-25 loss to North Hall, Sloan had seven kills while Britt Mimbs had nine assists for Johnson (6-12, 2-2 Area 8-AAA), which visits Eastside for a playdate with Monroe at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

FLOWERY BRANCH SPLIT AT HOME: The Lady Falcons beat Winder-Barrow 25-21, 28-26 but lost to Hebron Christian 25-21, 20-25, 27-29 on Thursday.

Alexis Love had 19 kills, seven digs and three aces on the day, while Katherine McMillin added 10 kills and five digs for Flowery Branch (8-4, 5-0 Area 8-AAAA).

The Lady Falcons play host to North Springs and Lambert at 5 p.m. Monday.

Softball

WHITE COUNTY 5, FRANKLIN COUNTY 2: Callie McDonald threw a complete game, giving up four hits and striking out seven, to give the Lady Warriors in the win Thursday in Carnesville.

Morgan Jacobson, Sarabeth Cummins and Stephanie Satterfield each went 2-for-4 on the day, with Jacobson adding a home run and Cummins and Satterfield chipping in a run scored for White County (7-1, 4-0 Region 8-AAA).

Aubrie Gstalder hit a two-run home run in the fifth to break a 2-2 tie for the Lady Warriors who play in the Cherokee Invitational this weekend.

NORTH HALL 6, CHESTATEE 0: Jordyn Porter had three hits and a double, while Courtney Gearin earned the win from the circle with four strikeouts Thursday as the Lady Trojans won on the road.

Tanya Howington had two hits and Danielle Newbern added a double for North Hall (2-3 Region 8-AAA), which plays in the Shaw Tournament beginning at 4 p.m. Friday in Columbus.
