North Hall’s softball team won the bronze at the Shaw Tournament in Columbus, beating South Gwinnett 6-0 and Starr’s Mill 7-5 while losing to eventual champion Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and Harris County.

Tiffany Hamilton, Melissa Adams, Amber Youngblood, Tanya Howington and Ellie Forrester all had multiple hits and Courtney Gerrin pitched 11 shutout innings for the Lady Trojans.

Volleyball

LADY WOLVES SWEEP: Buford (24-5) won its play date with wins over Greater Atlanta Christian 25-18, 25-114; Paideia 25-19, 25-20 and Decatur 25-14, 24-26, 25-22. Avondale forfeited its match against the Lady Wolves.

Buford was led by Maggie Roper's 20 kills and 23 digs, Jessica Falletta's 16 kills and 21 digs, Liz Darden's 42 digs and Denee Badois' four aces and 30 serves.
