Chargers win tournament

The North Georgia Christian boys basketball team took first place in the Grit Basketball Tournament on Saturday in Cumming.

Zach Pendley led the Chargers, averaging 20 points and 13 rebounds over six games. Pendley was also named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament and selected to the All-Tournament Team. Tyler Harney and Clay Cox were also selected to the All-Tournament Team.

North Georgia will return to action against Creekview on Dec. 2.

HEBRON CHRISTIAN GIRLS 44, DAWSON COUNTY 42: Despite 10 points from Kim Wallace and 10 rebounds from Allie Costley, the Lady Tigers lost Tuesday at Hebron Christian.

Carly Gilreath scored nine points, Morgan Huber scored eight and Natalie Parker had four points and six rebounds for Dawson County.

Costley also had four points for the Lady Tigers, who play host to Galloway at 5 p.m. Nov. 30.
