11 Trojans score in win over Oconee County

Hamilton Harper scored 12 points and Kanler Coker had 10 as the North Hall boys basketball team won at Oconee County 70-53 on Tuesday.

Eleven different Trojans scored in the win, including Ethan Smith (9 points), Preston Smith (8), C.J. Curry (8) and Chris Barnes (6).

North Hall (2-0) visits Flowery Branch at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

OCONEE COUNTY GIRLS 54, NORTH HALL 46: MaryKate Rushton scored 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds and Taylor Swoszowski added 12 points for the Lady Trojans in the loss Tuesday in Watkinsville.

North Hall (0-2) visits Flowery Branch at 4 p.m. Saturday.

JOHNSON GIRLS 75, AVONDALE 17: Led by Caitlin Sloan’s 18 points, the Lady Knights won Tuesday in Oakwood.

Sloan also added four assists and three steals for the Johnson (2-1). Emily Byers and Kenesha Cooper each scored nine points with Byers leading the team with seven rebounds.

Johnson visits Jefferson at 7 p.m. Dec. 3.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 58, HART COUNTY 53: Peyton Robertson scored 22 points to go along with nine rebounds as the Lady War Eagles won in overtime Tuesday against Hart County in Watkinsville.

Melissa Bailey chipped in nine points and five rebounds, and Rachel Kelly added nine points for Chestatee, which visits Cedar Shoals at 6 p.m. Nov. 30 in Athens.

WEST HALL BOYS 70, MOUNTAIN VIEW 39: Led by 20 points from Jarquise Young and 18 points from Shunquez Stephens, the Spartans defeated Mountain View on Tuesday at Jefferson.

Dre Pou added 12 points and William Stroup scored nine for West Hall (1-1), which plays at 2 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Salem/Cedar Shoals at Jefferson.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 52, HEBRON CHRISTIAN 35: Jacob Evans hit eight three-pointers to tie the school record en route to scoring a game-high 33 points and leading the Tigers to the win Tuesday at Hebron.

Evans also added nine rebounds and Tyler Dominy chipped in 10 points for Dawson County (2-1), which plays host to Gallaway at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30.

HERITAGE GIRLS 41, WEST HALL 30: Despite 11 points from Tori Alfredsson, the Lady Spartans lost to Heritage on Tuesday in Jefferson.

West Hall (1-2) will play at 4 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson against the loser of the Franklin County/Salem game.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 51, LANDMARK CHRISTIAN 39 (MONDAY): Matt Askounis scored 10 points and Austin Montgomery had nine as the Lions won at Phillips Arena in Atlanta.

Lakeview Academy (1-1) visits Providence Christian at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 3.

JACKSON COUNTY GIRLS 61, JOHNSON 41 (MONDAY): Ashley Skelton had 12 points to lead the Lady Panthers to the win in Gainesville.

Emily Byers led Johnson (1-1) in scoring with 10 points.

Jackson County (1-1) visits Oconee County at 6 p.m. Nov. 30. Johnson visits Jefferson at 7 p.m. Dec. 3.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 70, CEDAR GROVE 48 (MONDAY): Quan Holcomb scored 19 points and A.J. Johnson scored 14 as the Red Elephants cruised to the win over Cedar Grove at Piedmont College.

Keodric Sadler added 10 points and eight rebounds for Gainesville, which plays host to Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30.

Wrestling

CHESTATEE WINS TRI-MATCH: Bart Valesquez and Dylan Brock each had two pins as the War Eagles defeated Grovetown (60-24) and East Jackson (70-12) on Tuesday in Commerce.

Against Grovetown, Jose Reyes, Bert Bastrita and Sean Adams each collected a pin for Chestatee. Against East Jackson, J.W. Gilbert, Zack Terrell, Braydon Honea, Taylor Wright, Oscar Campos and Luis Ojeda each had a pin.

Chestatee will compete in the Archer Duals tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday at Archer.
