Hannah Hodge recorded 11 saves to help Johnson (1-3-1) hold Lumpkin County to a 0-0 draw Saturday afternoon.
Hodge’s second shutout in a row came at the right time, with the Lady Indians (5-0-1) entering the game undefeated.
The Lady Knights will return to region action on Tuesday when Johnson hosts North Oconee at Billy Ellis Memorial Stadium.
FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 1, NORTH HALL 1: The Lady Falcons rescued a draw against the Lady Trojans thanks to a second-half goal by Mara Wheat.
Flowery Branch (3-2-1) will host Lanier at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
NORTH HALL BOYS 1, FLOWERY BRANCH 0: Alec Zimmerman scored in the first half to lift the Trojans past the Falcons.
Jairo Barrientos provided the assist, while Joel Barrientos posted a shutout in goal. North Hall will play next at Buford on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
WEST HALL 13, JOHNSON 0: Kyle Reynolds threw a no-hitter as the Spartans blanked the Knights Friday night. The Spartans then suffered a 10-0 loss to North Forsyth on Saturday in Oakwood.
West Hall (2-3) will host East Hall in the Region 7-AAA opener on Monday at 5:55 p.m.
JACKSON COUNTY 4, DACULA 2: Max Wilson allowed two runs on eight hits and struck out three over six innings to earn the win on the mound for the Panthers (5-2) on Saturday. Jacob Lewis pitched a scoreless seventh inning to pick up the save.
Joel Ellis and Chris Griggs each went 2 for 4 with an RBI for Jackson County. Andrew Miller (1 for 3) and Tyler Sartain (1 for 4) also drove in one run apiece. The Panthers will host Oconee County at 5:55 p.m. Monday.
ST. PIUS X 7, NORTH HALL 2: Lincoln Hewatt went 2 for 4 with an RBI in the Trojans’ loss Saturday. North Hall also fell to George Walton, 7-1, on Saturday. Drew Atha pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing five hits and a walk while striking out two in that contest.
