Jamie Sexton went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, a home run and a triple while earning the win on the mound for the Jefferson baseball team as they defeated East Jackson 10-4 on Thursday at East Jackson.

Jake Fields went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run for Jefferson (11-1, 8-0 Region 8-AA).

Kyle Hardy went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a home run for Jefferson which visits Fannin County for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday.

UNION COUNTY 6, DAWSON COUNTY 2: Brady McCarter threw five innings with seven strikeouts to improve his season record to 4-0 Tuesday in Blairsville.

Chaiz George hit a three-run home run, Dalton Everett hit a two-run home run and Coleman Sullivan hit a solo home run for Union County (9-4, 5-3 Region 8-AA).

The Panthers travel to Walnut Grove at 1 p.m. Saturday for a doubleheader. Dawson County visits North Oconee at 5 p.m. Friday.

CREEKVIEW 1, WHITE COUNTY 0: Despite striking out 12 and giving up only one hit, pitcher Luke Crumley took the loss on Tuesday in Canton.

White County (11-2, 6-1 Region 7A-AAA) travels to Johnson at 5:55 p.m. today.

JACKSON COUNTY 7, ELBERT COUNTY 5: Quinn Grogan went 2-for-4, Ken Miller went 2-for-2 and Tre Sorrels went 1-for-2 on Tuesday in Jefferson.

Miller and Sorrels each had one RBI and pitcher Austin Robinson improved his season record to 5-0 with the win on the mound for the Panthers (10-4, 3-4 Region 8-AAA). Jackson County plays host to Oconee County at 5:55 p.m. Thursday.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 8, LUMPKIN COUNTY 0: With three goals from Russ Puckett and two goals from Carlos Sanchez, the Red Elephants won Tuesday at City Park. Monish Lahiry, Aiden Rising and Gabriel Osorio each scored a goal for Gainesville (10-0, 8-0 Region 7B-AAA).

Douglass Mejia added two assists for the Red Elephants, who play host to North Hall at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 3, LUMPKIN COUNTY 0: Raquel Castillo, Mary Catherine Dempsey and Maggie Norton each had a goal for Gainesville on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Castillo also had an assist for the Lady Red Elephants (8-3, 5-3 Region 7B-AAA).

Gainesville plays host to North Hall at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 4, TOWNS COUNTY 0: Sam Ballinger, Brie Ballinger, Kayla Everett and Kaitlyn Hooper each had a goal for the Lady Warriors on Tuesday in Cleveland.

White County (5-7, 1-5 Region 7A-AAA) plays host to Flowery Branch at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 3, NORTH HALL 1: With an own-goal for each team in regulation, it took overtime to decide a winner on Monday at The Brickyard. Cassidy Elrod scored two goals in the extra period to earn the win for the Lady Falcons (3-4 Region 7B-AAA).

BUFORD GIRLS 3, WESLEYAN 2: Jacey Chandler, Liz Darden and Lindsey White each scored one goal for the Lady Wolves on Tuesday in Buford.

Chandler also had one assist for Buford (8-3, 1-3 Region 6-AA)

NORTH HALL BOYS 304, LUMPKIN COUNTY 318: Behind low-round medalist Charlie Matthews’ 75, the Trojans won Tuesday at Achasta.

Other scorers for North Hall were Landry Haynes (76), Jackson Berry (76) and Jimmy Lloyd (77).

Scorers for the Indians were Joseph Jarrard (77), Austin Booker (79), Cody Fleming (80) and Everett Huntsinger (82). Lumpkin County plays Pickens at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Achasta.

North Hall next plays at the Principal’s Cup against Gainesville at Chattahoochee on April 14.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 92, LUMPKIN COUNTY 123: Camryn Cole was the low-round medallist with a score of 36 as the Lady Red Elephants won Tuesday at Achasta.

Lila Cooley carded at 56 for Gainesville, who plays at 3:30 p.m. Thursday against North Hall and West Hall at Chicopee Golf Course.

Scorers for Lumpkin County were Morgan Wood (60) and Taylor Gooch (63). The Lady Indians play Pickens at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Achasta.

WEST HALL GIRLS 103, NORTH HALL 110: Natalie Smith carded a 51 and Mallorie Smith shot a 52 for the Lady Spartans on Tuesday at Chestatee Golf Course.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 3, CHESTATEE 2: Singles players Cara Reece and Anna Eades combined with the doubles team of Catherine Im/Becca Wren to give the Lady Trojans the win on Tuesday.

North Hall (8-6, 7-4 Region 7A-AAA) travels to Gilmer at 4 p.m. today.

FLOWERY BRANCH 5, WEST HALL 0: Singles players Anna Kate Shaw, Elizabeth Mallory, and Morgan Reed combined with the doubles teams of Nicki Price/Molly Smith and Dani Taylor/Bekki Benton to defeat West Hall in straight sets on Tuesday in Flowery Branch.

The Lady Falcons play host to Johnson at 4 p.m. Thursday.

JOHNSON GIRLS 4, EAST HALL 1: Singles players Kamy Field and Maggie Turner combined with the doubles teams of Claire Crain/Harlee Robson and Lauren Houston/Carlyn Ivey to win in straight sets on Tuesday at home. No. 1 singles player Kelsey Allen had the sole win for East Hall, which visits Lambert at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Johnson travels to Flowery Branch at 4 p.m. Thursday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 5, CHESTATEE 0: Singles players Clayton Nedza, Sam Taylor and Jesse Morris combined with the doubles teams of Eli LoCicero/Charlie Hortenstine and Jack Hortenstine/Joe Nedza to sweep Chestatee on Tuesday at North Hall (12-2, 11-0 Region 7A-AAA).

North Hall travels to Gilmer at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 5, COMMERCE 0 (MONDAY): With singles wins from Mike Fowler, Seth Black and Jackson Beck and doubles wins from the teams of Matt Morris/Alex Klecan and Grant Hocker/Will Kellemeyer in a win at Commerce Monday. Lakeview plays host to North Hall at 4 p.m. Thursday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 3, COMMERCE 2 (MONDAY): Niki Patel and Jackie Burleson each won singles matches in straight sets for the Lady Lions on Monday in Commerce.

The Lakeview doubles team of Cree Nix and Komal Patel also won in straight sets. Lakeview plays host to North Hall at 4 p.m. Thursday.

CHESTATEE BOYS 4, GILMER 1 (MONDAY): Singles players Jeremiah Reed and Ben Hassler combined with the doubles teams of Brantley Beck/Pearce Gruenenfelder and Blaine Brown/Chase Smith to win on Monday.

OLSON WINS 100 AND 200-METER DASH (MONDAY): Randy Olson won the 100 and 200-meter dash for the North Hall boys in a meet against Lumpkin County and East Hall on Monday at North Hall.

Other first place finishers for the Trojans were Nate Simon in the long jump, Ty McCormack in the 800-meter, Tucker LoCicero in the 1,600-meter, Cody Barger in the 3,200-meter, Travis McEnaney in the 400-meter, Peyton Wilhoite in the discus, Ben Booth in the pole vault, and the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams.

DANIELS WINS THE 100 AND 200-METER DASH (MONDAY): Alexis Daniels won the 100 and 200-meter dash for the North Hall girls in a meet against Lumpkin County and East Hall on Monday at North Hall.

Other first place finishers for the Lady Trojans were Kelli Moore in the long jump and triple jump, Sallie Davis in the 400 and 800-meter, Ansley Lawson in the 1,600-meter, Victoria Rogers in the 3,200-meter, Mallory Rich in the discus and the 4X100 and 4X400-meter relay teams.
