White County rallied to score four runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Lumpkin County 4-3 on Friday in Cleveland.

Despite a strong performance by starting pitcher David Sosebee (six innings and 13 strikeouts), Bo Medlock picked up the win for White County (11-1, 6-0 Region 7-AAA).

The Warriors were led offensively by Luke Crumley, who went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs including the two game-winning RBIs scored by Medlock and Cole Segraves. Medlock finished the night 1-for-1 with an RBI.

The Warriors next play Creekview at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

GAINESVILLE 13, EAST HALL 3: Ryan Griffith pitched a five-inning, one-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead Gainesville to its ninth straight win Friday at Ivey-Watson Field.

Will Maddox led the offensive charge by going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Griffith, Anderson Loggins and Stephen Mason also went 2-for-3 for Gainesville (10-1, 5-0 Region 7-AAA).

Sloan Strickland went 3-for-3 with four runs scored and two RBIs and K.J. McAllister recorded three more steals to give him nine stolen bases in the last two games.

Gainesville visits West Hall at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

FLOWERY BRANCH 14, WEST HALL 4, 5 inn.: CJ Navin and Jimmy Fitzgerald each went 4-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Falcons on Friday night in Flowery Branch.

Will Weekley picked up the win for the Falcons (1-11, 1-5 Region 7-AAA) with a five-strikeout complete game.
Also leading Flowery Branch at the plate was Logan Conley, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs and Breck

Davidson, who finished the night 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Flowery Branch returns to action at 5:55 p.m. Monday at Johnson.

BUFORD 12, GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 0, 5 inn.: Josh Heddinger pitched a complete-game, no-hitter and struck out nine to lead the Wolves on Friday at Greater Atlanta Christian.

Heddinger also added a home run for Buford (10-3, 2-1 Region 6-AA).

Adam Schrader went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Brandon Kinzel finished 2-for-2 with an RBI and Dylan Stowe went 2-for-3 to lead the Wolves offensively.

Buford next plays host to Decatur at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

WEST HALL BOYS 2, CHESTATEE 1 OT: Esteban Romero scored on a pass from Chandler Ligas in the overtime period to give
the West Hall Spartans a win Friday in Oakwood.

Ismael Miranda scored in the first half for West Hall (9-3, 6-0 Area 7-AAA).

The Spartans, who have won three straight, play host to eighth-ranked Lambert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 3, FLOWERY BRANCH 1: Irving Selgado converted on two penalty kicks to lead the fourth-ranked Red Elephants to their eighth-straight win Friday at Flowery Branch.

Russ Puckett was the other goal scorer for Gainesville (9-0, 7-0 Area 7-AAA).

Philip Abrahamson had the lone goal for Flowery Branch (4-8, 2-4), which next plays at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at White County.
Gainesville next plays at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lumpkin County.

JOHNSON GIRLS 3, WEST FORSYTH 2: Anaelly Contreras scored two goals to lead the Lady Knights in their win Friday night in Oakwood.

Contreras’ first goal tied the game at one and her second — made in the second half — gave Johnson (5-4, 3-3 Area 7-AAA) a brief lead.

After West Forsyth tied the score at two, Kayla Madsen scored the game winner for Johnson with 18 minutes left in the game.
Johnson returns to action at 3 p.m. today at Flowery Branch.

JOHNSON BOYS 2, WEST FORSYTH 0: Chris Henry scored a goal and had two assists to lead the Knights in their win Friday in Oakwood.

Vicente Trujillo scored the other goal for Johnson (8-2, 5-1 Area 7-AAA) and Luis Carrero earned the shutout in goal with three saves.

The Knights return to action at 5:45 p.m. Monday at Creekview.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 3, BANKS COUNTY 2: Lindsey Brock scored all three goals for the Lady Lions in their win Friday in Gainesville.

Lakeview (1-5, 1-2 Area 15) returns to action at 10 a.m. today when it plays host to Rabun County.
Tennis

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 5, EAST HALL 0: Chris Dilidili, Destin Tipton and Luke Smith all recorded straight-set wins to lead the Falcons to a sweep Friday in Flowery Branch.

The doubles teams of Coulter Burch/Jake Jacobs and Christopher Hedden/Anthony Monacella also won in straight sets for the Falcons (3-10, 2-8 Region 7-AAA).

Flowery Branch visits West Hall at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 5, PICKENS 0: The Trojans only dropped one game in a dominating performance Friday.
Clayton Nedza, Mitch McCray and Sam Taylor swept the singles matches, while the teams of Charlie Hortenstine/Eli LoCicero and Jack Hortenstine/Joe Nedza swept the double matches.

North Hall (10-2, 9-0 Region 7-AAA) plays host to Creekview on Monday.

WEST HALL BOYS 3, WEST FORSYTH 2: The West Hall doubles teams of Tyler Burgamy/Jimmy Kincaid and Nathan Turner/Andrew Johnson earned straight-set wins to lead the Spartans (12-3) to a win Friday at Bobby Bailey Tennis Center.

Connor McFall, at No. 2 singles, also won for West Hall.

The Spartans, who with the win moved up to No. 2 in the Region 7-AAA standings, next play at Buford on Monday.
