Cameron Johnson had a home run and three RBIs in a 2-for-3 performance for West Hall as they defeated East Hall 13-3 on Monday in Oakwood.

Zach English went 1 for 3 with a home run for the Spartans and earned the win pitching with eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings. Will Simmons finished 2 for 4 with four RBIs.

West Hall visits East Hall at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Gainesville.

LANIER 4, JOHNSON 3: Layne Chancey went 1 for 3 with an RBI and pitched all seven innings for the Knights on Monday in Oakwood.

Josh Henderson finished 1 for 4, and Corey Collins was 1 for 3 for Johnson.

The Knights (3-11) play host to Monroe Area at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Oakwood.

DAWSON COUNTY 7, BANKS COUNTY 1: Colton Chester hit three doubles in three appearances at the plate and finished with five RBIs for the Tigers (7-6) on Monday in Homer.

Logan Crumley had two hits for Dawson County, and Logan Burt struck out eight over four innings to earn the win from the mound.

The Tigers play host to Banks County at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Dawsonville.

WHITE COUNTY 7, FANNIN COUNTY 0: Will Flowers went 2 for 4 with a double, single and two runs scored for the Warriors (12-0, 7-0 Region 7-AAA) on Monday in Blue Ridge.

Peyton Applewhite had a double and two runs scored for White County. Spencer Adams earned the win pitching with seven strikeouts and three hits over six innings.

The Warriors play host to Fannin County at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cleveland.


GAINESVILLE 9, MEADOWCREEK 2: John Wagner and Triston Wimpye each netted three goals for the Red Elephants on Monday.

Austin Graybeal finished with two goals for Gainesville, and Bill Hood also scored for the Red Elephants. Sam Terray made seven saves in goal.

Gainesville visits Buford at 6 p.m. Thursday.


JOHNSON GIRLS 6, STEPHENS COUNTY 0: Hannah Hester’s hat-trick powered the Lady Knights on Monday.

Kelsey Dumanowsky, Chandler Steele and Stephanie Barron also scored for Johnson (4-5-1, 3-1 Region 8-AAAA). Steele notched two assists, and Sofy Munoz and Lydia Moon also had assists.

Hannah Hodge earned the shutout in goal.

The Lady Knights visit Winder-Barrow tonight.
