JEFFERSON 3, UNION COUNTY 2: Max Ford struck out 10 batters over seven innings and was 1 for 5 with an RBI for the Dragons on Tuesday in Jefferson.
Drew Carson was 2 for 5 for Jefferson (11-2, 4-0 Region 8-AA) with an RBI and a run scored, and Andy Nicolaus was 1 for 4 with a run scored.

WHITE COUNTY TAKES TRI-MATCH: Led by Brittan Slaton’s 43, the White County girls won a tri-match versus North Hall and Habersham Central on Tuesday at Chestatee Golf Course in Dawsonville. Jessie Edge led North Hall with a 46, while Kylie Stephens carded a 50 for Habersham Central.

LUMPKIN COUNTY TAKES SECOND AT COUNTRY LAND: Morgan Wood carded a 47 for the Lumpkin County girls and helped secure a second-place finish in a tri-match against North Forsyth and Johnson on Tuesday at Country Land Golf Course in Cumming. North Forsyth won with a 143 team total, Lumpkin County placed second at 152 and Johnson took third at 159. Lauren Smith shot a 51 to lead the Lady Knights.
WEST HALL GIRLS 139, LANIER 164: Malorie Smith carded a 44 to earn low-medallist honors for the Lady Spartans on Tuesday.
BUFORD GIRLS 3, WHITE COUNTY 0: Elexa Bahr tallied a pair of goals for the Lady Wolves on Tuesday at Buford. Ceely Coker had the other goal for the Lady Wolves (9-0, 2-0 Region 7-AAA). Assists for the Lady Wolves were credited to Tara Dambach and McKenna Harwood.
Buford visits North Hall at 5:30 p.m. Friday at The Brickyard.
JOHNSON BOYS 5, LANIER 0: Luis Del Toro led the Knights with a goal and two assists on Tuesday in Oakwood.
Jonathan Mendoza, Fabian Abarca and Fidel Rodriguez each tallied a goal and an assist for Johnson (8-1-1, 4-0 Region 8-AAAA).
Luis Hernandez also scored a goal for the Knights, and Alan Morales recorded the shutout with seven saves.
