Kevin Clifford went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a triple and four RBIs to lead Chestatee past West Hall 12-10 at War Eagles Field on Monday.

Scott Chewning went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI for the War Eagles (5-0), who finished with 10 hits total.

Chestatee’s Alex Moore threw three innings in relief to earn the win and Clifford also came on to earn the save in the seventh.

Chestatee visits West Hall at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Oakwood.

BUFORD 4, CENTRAL GWINNETT 3:
The Wolves won a close game with clutch hitting on Monday at Buford City Park.

Kyler Berrett (2-for-3) won the game for the Wolves (6-1) in the bottom of the eighth with a bases-loaded, walk-off single to score Shane Swanson.

Dylan Stowe (2-for-4) had a two-out hit in the bottom of the seventh to score James Nix and tie the game at 3-3 and force extra innings.

Adam Schrader was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Wolves.

Winning pitcher Troy Herterick gave up one earned run while striking out four for Buford.

Buford plays host to Forsyth Central at 5:30 today.  

JOHNSON 12, EAST HALL 0:
Ryan Farmer led the Knights with three hits and three RBIs on Monday in a five-inning shutout on the road.

Logan Pethel had one hit and three RBIs for the Knights.

C.J. White and Desmond Gardner had the only two hits for East Hall.

Johnson plays host to Pickens at 5:55 Wednesday. East Hall plays host to White County at 5:55 Wednesday.

JACKSON COUNTY 11, MOUNTAIN VIEW 5: The Panthers scored six in the second inning on Monday in Jefferson.

Zach Stitcher was 1-for-3 with three RBIs, Rob Williams was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Austin Robinson and Tre Sorrells each had an RBI for Jackson County (8-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAA).

Robinson also earned the win from the mound to move his season record to 3-0 for the Panthers.

Jackson County visits Hart County at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

NORTH HALL 5, LUMPKIN COUNTY 1: North Hall senior Nathan Hewell picked up the win with six strikeouts and allowed only two hits on Monday in Dahlonega.

North Hall (4-3, 1-0 Region 7A-AAA) visits Flowery Branch at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

Tennis

NORTH HALL BOYS 5, GILMER 0:
The Trojans swept the Bobcats at home on Monday for their fifth straight win.

Singles players Clayton Nedza, Mitch McCray and Same Taylor east won their matches in straight sets.

The doubles teams of Eli LoCicero/Charlie Hortenstine and Jack Hortenstine/Joe Nedza won their matches without losing a single game.

North Hall (5-2, 4-0 7A-AAA) travels to Creekview at 4 p.m. today. 

NORTH HALL GIRLS 5, GILMER 0: The Lady Trojans swept the Bobcats at home on Monday.

Cara Reece, Gay Anne Agnew and Catherine Im had singles wins, while the teams of Anna Eades/Becca Wren and Kari Butts/Valerie Bohannon won their doubles matches.

North Hall travels to Creekview at 4 p.m. today.

JOHNSON GIRLS 4, FORSYTH CENTRAL 1:
Cady Nix and Maggie Turner each had singles victories for the Lady Knights on Monday in Gainesville.

The teams of Claire Crain/Harlee Robson and Lauren Houston/Carlyn Ivey swept their doubles matches without losing a set.

Johnson next plays West Hall, 4 p.m. Thursday at Alberta Banks Park. 

Soccer

WEST HALL BOYS 6, WEST FORSYTH 0:
Hector Rodriguez had a hat trick to lead the Spartans on the road Monday.

Matt Lewis (two goals) and Felix Ramirez (one goal) each scored for West Hall.

Esteban Romero, Elvin Mendieta, Chandler Ligas, Alejandro Aquilar and Israel Guzman each had an assist.

Keepers Ismael Miranda and Darwin Mejia combined for the shut out.

West Hall  visits Stephens County at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 1, WEST FORSYTH 0:
The Lady Spartans moved to 4-0 in region play with the win over the Lady Wolverines in Oakwood on Monday.

Shannon Mundy scored the game’s lone goal and keeper Alex Smith recorded the shutout.

West Hall travels to Stephens County at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Golf

LUMPKIN COUNTY GIRLS 93, PICKENS 99: In a shortened seven-hole match the Lady Indians defeated the Lady Dragons on Monday at Big Canoe.

Taylor Gooch shot a 44 and Morgan Wood shot a 49 for Lumpkin County in the victory.

The Lady Indians next play in the Bronco Invitational hosted by Brookwood High School at the Summit Chase Golf Club at 12 p.m. Saturday.

LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 165, PICKENS 188: Aaron George, Austin Booker and Cody Flemming each shot a 41 for the Indians at Big Canoe on Monday.

Joseph Jarrard had a 42 to round out the foursome.

Lumpkin County travels to Royal Lakes on Thursday to take on Johnson and North Forsyth at 3:30 p.m.
