The Gainesville High girls topped Lanier 3-2 on Thursday at Longwood Park.

No. 3 singles player Josie Evert clinched the win for the Lady Red Elephants with a 7-6 decision in the first set. She trailed 6-0 in the tiebreak and came back to win 9-7. She won the second set 6-3.

Gainesville swept doubles play with victories from Georgia Summer/Madi Kiser and Paige Ackerman/Ali Waggoner.

Gainesville visits Heritage on Monday in Conyers.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 5, LANIER 0: Graham McKinnon, Jeffery Kiser and Jackson Fox all won in singles for the Red Elephants on Thursday. The doubles teams of Reagan Williams/Edward Belch and Trevor Munn/Roan Thompson also won.

CHESTATEE BOYS 5, WHITE COUNTY 0: The War Eagles earned the win without dropping a set Thursday in Cleveland.

Tyler Burgess, Reed Johnson and Austin Passmore all won in singles for the War Eagles. Barron King/Hunter Creamer and Logan Gruenendfelder/Blake DeGraff were doubles winners.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 4, WHITE COUNTY 1: Haley King, Grace Brown and Natalie McNitt all won singles matches for the Lady War Eagles. The No. 2 doubles pairing of Holly Baxter/Paulina Manriqez won for Chestatee.

The Gainesville girls’ team lost 160-158 to White County Thursday at Mossy Creek Golf Course in Cleveland. Julianna Towns shot a match-low 47, Grace Brown shot 54, Arianna Lunsford had a score of 59, and Lauren Pudenz carried a 62.

White County shot scores of 49, 52 and 54.

Both the Lady Red Elephants and the Lady Warriors will play in this Saturday’s Warrior Spring Swing at Mossy Creek.

ST. FRANCIS 4, RIVERSIDE MILITARY 0: Trevor Ballard had the Eagles’ lone hit on Thursday. Will Lovett pitched five innings, allowing five hits and three runs for Riverside.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 4, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 0: Guillermo Cruz-Celis scored twice for the Eagles in the first half on Thursday. In the second half, Riverside scored on shots by Carlos Carrillo and Adam Turner. Robert Pee recorded his second shutout of the season in goal.
