The Lakeview Academy boys basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 80-51 win against Banks County on Monday in Homer.

Jordan Chastain led the Lions (1-2) with 15 points. Haughton Carswell had 13 points and Brett Armour added 12 points for Lakeview.

Quentin Lovelace was the Leopards’ only scorer with double figures, ending the night with 10 points.

Lakeview will participate in the Lanierland Tournament, starting Friday. Banks County visits Rabun County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Beasha Beasley scored 12 points and Lauren Kennedy added 10 points for the Lady Leopards on Monday in Homer.

Megan Rochester led Lakeview with 11 points. Maddie Haymore also finished the night with double figures, scoring 10 points for the Lady Lions (1-2).

Banks County (2-2) visits Rabun County at 6 p.m. Friday. Lakeview Academy will participate in the Lanierland Tournament, starting Friday.
