Hanna Grogan scored a game-high 30 points and reached the 2,000-point career milestone for the Lakeview Academy girls in a 60-46 win against George Walton Academy on Saturday in Monroe. Jackie Allen connected on three 3-pointers for the Lady Lions, finishing the game with 11 points.
With the win, the Lady Lions are now 19-4 overall and 11-0 in Region 8-A play.
On Wednesday, Lakeview Academy hosts Tallulah Falls at 6 p.m. in Gainesville.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 79, GEORGE WALTON ACADEMY 41: The Lions had five scorers in double figures for a region win on Saturday in Monroe.
Evan Pitts led Lakeview Academy (17-5, 12-0 Region 8-A) with 17 points and Adam Cottrell finished with 12. Also for the Lions, Tre Gober scored 12 points, Drew Cottrell chipped in 11 points and Josh Randolph added 10.
On Tuesday, Lakeview Academy hosts Riverside Military starting at 5 p.m.
GAINESVILLE GIRLS 37, DACULA 26: Taylor Hawks scored a game-high 20 points for the Lady Red Elephants (15-5, 5-2 Region 8-AAAAAA) on Saturday in Dacula. Tija Blackwell chipped in eight points for Gainesville.
On Tuesday, Gainesville hosts Winder-Barrow at 6 p.m. in Gainesville.
EAST HALL BOYS 76, JEFFERSON 57: Luke Holtzclaw finished with 17 points and Luke Cooper chipped in 13 for the Vikings (16-6, 9-1 Region 7-AAA) on Saturday in Gainesville. Leading by four points after the first quarter, East Hall outscored Jefferson 23-8 in the second quarter. On Tuesday, East Hall visits Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. in Dawsonville.
JEFFERSON GIRLS 60, EAST HALL 42: Carly Winters scored 22 points for the Lady Vikings on Saturday in Gainesville. On Tuesday, East Hall visits Dawson County at 6 p.m. in Dawsonville.
WESLEYAN GIRLS 73, BUFORD 50: Tory Ozment scored 14 points and Audrey Weiner chipped in 11 for the Lady Wolves (20-2) on Saturday in Buford.
OCONEE COUNTY BOYS 63, NORTH HALL 52: Taylor Hanson and Griffin Neville each scored 12 points for the Trojans on Saturday in Watkinsville. North Hall wraps up the regular season against Lumpkin County at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Dahlonega.
DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 62, NORTH HALL 44 (Friday): Cullen Reed scored a game-high 19 points for the Tigers and Jeremiah Crumley finished with 17 on Friday. The Tigers led 21-4 after the first quarter.
Dawson County hosts East Hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Dawsonville.
