The Lakeview Academy girls soccer team’s season came to an end at the hands of Mount Pisgah in a 2-1 loss on Wednesday in the second round of the Class A private girls soccer state tournament.

The Lady Lions scored first as Jackie Allen volleyed a deflected ball from a corner kick into the corner of net.

Mount Pisgah tied it up 1-1 at the 22 minute mark of the first half through Katelyn Smith and Annabelle Geier scored the game-winner with 16:42 left in the game.

Seniors Emma Reinhardt, Annalee Skinner and Sarah Hutchinson played well on defense, while seniors Madison Smith, Shannon Waddell and Bree Bell played exceptionally well at midfield in their last games at Lakeview Academy.
