High school scoreboard: Kozloski's four hits help West Hall top Johnson, 13-6

Bailey Kozloski on hit short of the cyle with a home run, double and single for West Hall in a 13-6 win against Johnson on Friday. He finished with four RBIs and scored two runs for the Spartans. Erik Ayala drove in three runs with three hits for West Hall.

On the mound, Charlie Cochran finished with 10 strikeouts and allowed two hits and three runs in four innings for West Hall. Ayala threw two innings of no-hit ball for the Spartans in relief.

Cochran also added two hits at the plate.

West Hall hosts White County at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday in Oakwood.

NORTH HALL 12, LUMPKIN COUNTY 2: Taber Mongero drove in four runs in North Hall’s win on Friday in Dahlonega.

The Trojans won all three meetings against Lumpkin County this week. On the mound, Corban Meeler recorded four strikeouts for the Trojans. Charlie Erickson had three hits for North Hall.

North Hall visits Fannin County at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday in Blue Ridge.

GAINESVILLE TAKES TWO GAMES: The Red Elephants swept a doubleheader, beating Jefferson 5-0 in Game 1, and 5-4 in the nightcap on Friday at Ivey-Watson Field.

In Game 1, Collier Scott was 3 for 3 with an RBI, while A.J. Smallwood had a solo home run for Gainesville.

In Game 2, Banks Griffith had a pair of hits, while Jared Smith had a two-run double for the
Red Elephants.

Gainesville hosts Murphy (N.C.) at 1 p.m. today at Ivey-Watson Field.

EAST HALL BOYS 7, FANNIN COUNTY 1: Sergio Turcios had a hat trick for East Hall in a win over Fannin County on Friday in Gainesville. Ben Kisebwe had a brace (two goals) for the Vikings, while teammates Brandon Callahan and Freddy Rebollar each scored once. East Hall improves to 7-1 and 1-0 in Region 7-AAA.

East Hall plays Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Gainesville.

FLOWERY BRANCH 5, NORTH FORSYTH 0: Jason Acosta had a brace for Flowery Branch with a pair of goals on Friday.

Carlos Servellon, Elias Araya, Fernando Castro each scored once for the Falcons. Flowery Branch improves to 6-3-1.

Flowery Branch visits Clarke Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in Athens.

Bailey McCammon picked up a straight-set (6-2,6-2) victory for Buford in a 3-2 win against West Forsyth on Friday.

Kenzie Walters won her match in straight sets (6-1,6-1) for the Lady Wolves. Gabby Benson/Sydney Grothe were the doubles winners (7-5,4-6,10-6) for Buford after a tight three-set affair.
