Anthony Grutadaurio had a home run and drove in four runs for Flowery Branch in a 12-3 win against Glynn Academy on Saturday in Brunswick. Sean Akins drove in three runs for Flowery Branch. On Tuesday, Flowery Branch visits East Hall at 5:55 p.m.
NORTH HALL 4, ST. PIUS X 2: Reese Olson pitched six solid innings and Caleb Clark had three hits for the Trojans on Saturday. During his stint pitching, Olson allowed just three hits and one walk.
For North Hall, Clark also plated a pair of runs. Taber Mongero and Charlie Erickson each finished with two hits for the Trojans.
NORTH HALL 9, GEORGE WALTON ACADEMY 4 (9 INNINGS): Dylan Lavender had a go-ahead single in the ninth inning for the Trojans, scoring John Mark Montgomery in the ninth inning on Saturday. Mongero and Clark each added two hits and a pair of RBIs.
Lavender and Jackson Latty each had two hits and scored twice for North Hall.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 18, JOHNSON 0 (3 INNINGS): Bailey Whitlock had three doubles and drove in five runs for the Lions on Saturday. Brannon Browner had three hits and drove in three runs for Lakeview Academy.
JD Roark, Sam Stewart and Evan Gravitt each scored three runs for the Lions.
On Monday, Lakeview Academy visits West Hall in Oakwood.
GAINESVILLE SPLITS WITH HERITAGE AT IVEY-WATSON: Kyle York pitched six innings to earn his first career victory for the Red Elephants in a 5-1 win, the second of a doubleheader against Heritage on Saturday at Ivey-Watson Field.
The Gainesville sophomore recorded four strikeouts and only allowed a run. A.J. Smallwood was 3 for 3 for the Red Elephants, while Charlie Wall and Jared Smith each batted in a pair of runs. In Game 1, the Red Elephants lost 7-2.
On Monday, Gainesville visits Madison County at 5:55 p.m. in Danielsville.
North Hall’s Bartley Forrester finished first overall with 35 points in a Stableford points scoring event Saturday at Hampton Golf Village in Cumming. Forrester won in a field of 106 golfers and 18 teams.
Also for the Trojans, Michael Kallab finished with 31 points and was fifth overall. Brennan Manson’s 25 points for North Hall earned 21st place overall.
