High school scoreboard: Grogan's 33 points lead Lakeview Academy girls to 40-point win

Hanna Grogan led Lakeview Academy with a game-high 33 points in a 77-37 win against Hebron Christian Academy on Tuesday in Gainesville. Kennedy Payne put up 13 points for the Lady Lions (15-4, 7-0 Region 8-A).

Lakeview Academy visits Towns County at 6 p.m. Friday in Hiawassee.

LAKEVIEW BOYS 83, HEBRON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY BOYS 63: Four players scored in double-figures for the Lions (13-5, 8-0 Region 8-A), led by Tre Gober’s 19 points.

Evan Pitts and Drew Cottrell scored 14 points apiece, while Josh Randolph added 13. Jack Blackburn pitched in five assists for Lakeview Academy.

The Lions, ranked No. 3 in the GHSA Class A Power Rankings released Tuesday, travel to Towns County at 7 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS: 51, CEDAR SHOALS GIRLS 31: Ashley Woodroffe scored 12 points to help pick up a win for Flowery Branch in Tuesday’s Region 8-AAAAA contest. Flowery Branch put Cedar Shoals away after carrying a 41-24 lead into the fourth quarter. Caroline Wysocki and Lexie Sengkhammee added 10 points apiece in the Lady Falcons’ victory.

Flowery Branch (15-3, 6-1 Region 8-AAAAA) visits Loganville at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Loganville.

BUFORD GIRLS 47, LOGANVILLE GIRLS 35: Buford’s Marissa Bruce scored 14 points in Tuesday’s Region 8-AAAAA matchup.
Buford plays St. Francis at 6 p.m. Friday in Buford.

GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN GIRLS 63, DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 34: Cadey Ayers and Marlie Townley had six points apiece for Dawson County in Tuesday’s Region 7-AAA game.

Dawson County plays Lumpkin County at 7 p.m. Friday in Dahlonega.
