The Gainesville girls soccer team rode a first-half Hartley Carter goal to the 1-0 win over Stephens County on Friday in Toccoa.

Gainesville visits White County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alejandro Angeles scored two goals to lead the Red Elephants to the win Friday in Toccoa. Gainesville visits White County at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 4 LUMPKIN COUNTY 0:
Brooke Reed, Gabrielle Ligas, Kristen Newstrom and Katie Forrester each scored for the Lady Spartans (4-0, 1-0 Area 8-AAA) in the win Friday in Dahlonega. The Lady Spartans visit Buford at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Lumpkin County (0-2, 0-2) hosts Banks County at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Alex Lawson and Dani Berry scored one goal each in the win Friday in Gainesville. The Lady Trojans host Johnson at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

JOHNSON BOYS 2, CHESTATEE 1:
Jonathan Mendoza and Juan Morfin led the Knights to the win Friday at Chestatee with one goal each. Johnson (4-0, 3-0 Area 8-AAA) visits North Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

JOHNSON GIRLS 3, CHESTATEE 2 (SO):
Brittany Martin scored one goal with one assist as the Lady Knights won in penalty kicks Friday at Chestatee. Johnson (3-0-1, 3-0 Region 8-AAA) visits North Hall at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

MILL CREEK GIRLS 1, FLOWERY BRANCH 0:
Kelsey Reed had 16 saves in the loss Friday in Hoschton. Flowery Branch (2-3, 1-0 Area 8-AAAA) hosts Loganville at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

BUFORD GIRLS 10, SHILOH 0: Kate Garth scored a hat trick, while Lindsey White, Ceely Coker and McKenna Harwood each scored two goals in the win Friday in Buford. The Lady Wolves (3-1) host West Hall at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Tennis

JEFFERSON BOYS 5, HART COUNTY 0:
Zack Bost, Blair Buffington and Ben Daniel swept singles as the Dragons won Thursday. The doubles teams of Brandon Clabo/Jordan Tyler and Andrew James/Austin Pratt also won for Jefferson.

HART COUNTY GIRLS 3, JEFFERSON 2: Singles players Bell Blakenship (7-5, 6-2) and Tristan McGarity (6-4, 6-1) earned the only wins for the Lady Dragons on Thursday.

Baseball

JEFFERSON 12, CLARKE-CENTRAL 2:
Jesse Tallent went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored as the Dragons won Thursday in Athens.

Nathan Carson and Jason Demons each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Drew Carson added an RBI and two runs scored on 2-for-3 hitting for Jefferson (2-0), which hosts Commerce at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
