Five West Hall players score in win against Winder-Barrow

West Hall’s Omar Castillo scored three minutes into the game on an assist from Matt Lewis en route to a 5-1 win against Winder-Barrow on Wednesday in Winder. Darwin Mejia scored in the 19th minute for the Spartans (2-0-1) on an assist from Christian Sepulveda, followed by a strike by Israel Guzman from 20-yards out to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Edgar Jaimes scored on an assist by Chandler Ligas, followed later by a goal from West Hall’s Lucio Barron. The Spartans visit Lumpkin County at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Dahlonega.

WEST HALL GIRLS 2, WINDER-BARROW 1:
Gabrielle Ligas and Katie Forrester each scored for the Lady Spartans (3-0) on Wednesday. West Hall visits Lumpkin County at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Dahlonega.

WHITE COUNTY 4 GIRLS, RABUN COUNTY 0: Savannah Castles, Brie Ballinger, Lauren Padgett and Kaitlyn Gearing all scored a goal for the Lady Warriors (3-0) on Wednesday in Cleveland. Kaitlyn Hooper and Gearing also recorded assists for White County, which faces Walnut Grove at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Loganville.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 2, RABUN COUNTY 0: JR Hurst and Eddie Hurst each scored a goal for White County, which next faces Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Loganville.

CHESTATEE BOYS 2, WALNUT GROVE 0 (Tuesday): Jordan Martinez and Cole Schrader each scored for the War Eagles (2-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAA) on Tuesday in Loganville. Chestatee plays host to Johnson at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 5, WALNUT GROVE 1 (Tuesday): Alexis Rebollar secured a hat trick with three goals for the Lady War Eagles (1-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAA) on Tuesday in Loganville. Saira Saucedo had three assists for Chestatee, which plays host to Johnson at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 5, LOGANVILLE 0:
Taylor Fiorello, Cris Dilidili and A.J. Morris all picked up wins in singles for the Falcons on Wednesday in Flowery Branch. Luke Smith/Anthony Monacella and Garrett Couffer/Christopher Hedden swept doubles action for the Falcons.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 5, LOGANVILLE 0: The Lady Falcons won in straight sets Wednesday at home.
Anna Kate Shaw (6-0, 6-0), Elizabeth Mallory (6-1, 6-1) and Durden Smith (6-1, 6-1) had singles wins, while the doubles teams of Morgan Reed/Dani Taylor (6-0, 6-2) and Madison Smith/Paolette Matute (6-0, 6-2) completed the team sweep.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 5, WALNUT GROVE 0: Morgan Mercer, Brinkley Frankum and Mady Wuest swept singles action for the Lady Red Elephants on Wednesday in Gainesville. The Lady Red Elephants visit West Hall at 4 p.m. today at the Alberta Banks Park in Flowery Branch.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 5, WALNUT GROVE 0: Jake McCardel, Connor McMorrow and Austin Miller swept singles play for the Red Elephants on Wednesday in Gainesville. Alexander Davis and Alec Zais won in straight sets at No. 2 doubles for the Red Elephants.

JOHNSON BOYS 4, EAST HALL 1: Cristian Delgado/Parker McDonald and Drew Jones/Grayson Anthony swept doubles play for the Knights (2-1) on Wednesday. Johnson faces Lanier at 4 p.m. today in Oakwood.

JOHNSON GIRLS 5, EAST HALL 0: The Lady Knights only lost seven games combined in the win Wednesday at home.

In singles, Cady Nix defeated Marissa Thompson (6-0, 6-2), Maggie Turner defeated Grayzielle Sepe (6-0, 6-0) and Ryleigh Shannon defeated Kacie Armour (6-0, 6-3). The team of Claire Crain/Harlee Robson defeated Katie Contrell/Crystal Flores (6-1, 6-0) in doubles play, while Carlyn Ivey/Emma Rowlett defeated Amy Rodriguez/Tiffany Salazar (6-1, 6-0).
