Tyler Cole led Jefferson (1-0) going 1 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs in an 8-1 win against Clarke Central Tuesday in Jefferson. Matt Bowen was the winning pitcher giving up two runs in four inning and accumulating 11 strikeouts.

Jefferson hosts Commerce at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 1, FORSYTH CENTRAL 0: Cassidy Elrod scored eight minutes into the second half for the Lady Falcons (4-0) Friday night in Flowery Branch. Lauren Dunn recorded the shutout for the Lady Falcons.

Flowery Branch hosts Johnson at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 6, STEPHENS COUNTY 0: Dillon Martin led the Trojans (1-0-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAA North) with a hat trick and an assist in their first region win of the season Tuesday night in Gainesville. Ramon Salamanca, Jake Stephens and Jake Carter each added goals for North Hall while Cody Phistor, Tyler Shows, Jorge Mejia, and Salamanca added assists.

Carlos Prianti recorded his first shutout of the season with three saves.

CHESTATEE BOYS 3, JOHNSON 1: Marco Rebollar led the War Eagles (1-2, 1-0 Region 8-AAA North) with two goals Tuesday night in Oakwood. Edgar Guerrero added a goal and an assist for Chestatee, and John Hatch was credited an assist.

The War Eagles hosts White County at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

JOHNSON GIRLS 3, CHESTATEE 0: Kayln Dumanowsky, Brittany Martin and Chandler Steele each scored goals for the Lady Knights Tuesday night in Oakwood. Macy Collins recorded the shutout for Johnson, while Anna Torres finished with two assists and Emily Byers had one.

JACKSON COUNTY GIRLS 5, EAST HALL 0: After being down 4-0 at halftime, the Lady Vikings only allowed one goal in the second half Tuesday in Gainesville.

East Hall visits Fannin County at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Blue Ridge.

EAST HALL BOYS 7, JACKSON COUNTY 0: Julio Avila scored two goals and had an assist for the Vikings (2-0) Tuesday in Gainesville. Luis Salazar and Edgar Cerrano added one goal and one assist, while Saul Lopez, Jason Mendoza and Ricardo Rosales each added a goal for East Hall.

The Vikings visit Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Blue Ridge.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 2, COLLINS HILL 0: Ricardo Gomez and Merley Valasquez each scored for the Red Elephants (2-1) Tuesday night in Gainesville. Aiden Reiseing and Alberto Murrilo were credited with assists for Gainesville while Edgar Espinoza recorded the shutout with six saves.

The Red Elephants play Stephens County at 7:30 p.m. Friday at City Park.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 3, LANIER 2: Morgan Mercer and Georgia Summer won Nos. 2 and 3 singles for the Lady Red Elephants (3-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAA South) Tuesday in Sugar Hill. Top No. 2 doubles team, Lauren Carter and Suzanne Smith, won 6-0, 6-4 for Gainesville.

The Lady Red Elephants visit Johnson on Thursday.

JONN’S CREEK GIRLS 4, FLOWERY BRANCH 1: Dani Taylor and Madison Smith recorded 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles for the Lady Falcons on Tuesday in John’s Creek.

JOHNSON BOYS 5, WALNUT GROVE 0: Drew Jones led the Knights (1-3, 1-2 Region 8-AAA South) 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles Tuesday night in Oakwood. Jacob Horne and Grayson Anthony recorded a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles for Johnson.

The Knights visit Jackson County at 4 p.m today.

CHESTATEE BOYS 3, NORTH HALL 2: Top No. 1 singles player Jonathan Cook led the War Eagles with a 6-1, 6-3 win Tuesday night. Chestatee also swept the doubles matches with wins by the No. 1 team of Junior Blaine Brown and Freshman Reed Johnson 6-1, 7-5.

The War Eagles host Franklin County on Thursday.
