Chilton lead Flowery Branch

Cara Chilton led Flowery Branch (19-7) with a team-high 12 points and the Lady Falcons clinched a spot in the state tournament and the Region 8-AAAA Tournament semifinals after a 44-43 win against Heritage on Monday night in Loganville.

Marrissa Ivey added 11 points and Jacy Ramey finished with eight points, 12 rebounds and four steals for Flowery Branch.

The Lady Falcons play Salem at 4 p.m. Thursday in Loganville.

LAKEVIEW BOYS 67, GEORGE WALTON 57: Austin Montgomery led the Lions with a team-high 29 points and Austin Pearson added 12 Tuesday night at George Walton Academy.

Lakeview clinched a spot in the state tournament with the win and advances to the Region 8-A Tournament semifinals at 8:30 p.m. Friday against an oppenent still to be determined.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 52, JEFFERSON 45: Deasha Beasley led the Lady Leopards with a team-high 13 points and Madison Franklin added 12 Monday night in Gainesville.

Skylar Evanson scored a game-high 26 points for the Lady Dragons.

Banks County advances to the Region 8-AA Tournament quarterfinals against North Oconee at 7 p.m. on Thursday at East Hall High.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 50, ELBERT COUNTY 48: Carly Gilreath led the Lady Tigers (13-13) with a team-high 22 points and four rebounds Tuesday night in Gainesville. Morgan Huber added 10 points for Dawson County.

The Lady Tigers advance to the Region 8-AA Tournament quarterfinals against East Hall at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Gainesville.

STEPHENS COUNTY GIRLS 52, JOHNSON 44: Lyndsey Pethel led the Lady Knights with a team-high 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a double overtime loss Tuesday night in Toccoa. Harlee Robson finished with 11 points and three steals for Johnson.

The Lady Knights’ season is now complete.

Tennis

JOHNSON GIRLS 4, EAST HALL 1: Maggie Turner and Natalie Crenshaw won 8-0 in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, for the Lady Knights on Monday. Ashley Hogan and Karina Rivera won 8-5 in No. 1 doubles and Anslie Bass and Katie Allan won 8-6 in No. 2 doubles for Johnson.

Grayzielle Sepe won 8-3 for the Lady Vikings.

Soccer

BUFORD GIRLS 5, WINDER-BARROW 0: Ceely Coker scored two goals for the Lady Wolves (1-0) Tuesday afternoon in Winder. Caitlyn Dawkins, Cara Dambach, and Lindsey White all added one goal for Buford and Caitlin Hollis recorded the shutout.

The Lady Wolves will host Dawson County at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

CHSTATEE GIRLS 5, CLARK CENTRAL 0: Alexis Rebollar scored four goals for the Lady War Eagles (1-0) Tuesday afternoon in Athens. Elaine Miklos added one goal and Misandy Chavez recorded her first shutout of the season for Chestatee.

The Lady War Eagles visit Johnson Tuesday.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 3, FANNIN COUNTY 2: Will Gearing scored with less than 30 seconds left in the second half to lead the Warriors to a win Tuesday during the Mountain Madness Tournament in Blue Ridge. Eddie Hurst and Dante Moss also scored for White County (1-0), which plays Towns County at 7 p.m. Thursday in Blue Ridge.

FANNIN COUNTY GIRLS 3, WHITE COUNTY 2: Savannah Castles and Kerry Hecke each scored for the Lady Warriors on Tuesday during the Mountain Madness Tournament in Blue Ridge.

White County playes Towns County at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Blue Ridge.
