High School Scoreboard: Erickson has four RBIs for North Hall's baseball team in 16-0 win

Charlie Erickson drove in four runs for North Hall’s baseball team in a 16-0 win over Lumpkin County on Monday in

Dahlonega. Starting pitcher Reese Olson threw for seven strikeouts over four innings, and added two RBIs from the plate for the Trojans.

North Hall (8-3) hosts Lumpkin County 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Gainesville.

Soccer

Maddy Child netted the go-ahead goal with two minutes left in regulation, and Lakeview Academy rallied to defeat Hebron 3-2 on Monday.

On a free kick from midfield, Child followed a mishandled save from Hebron’s goalkeeper to punch the game-winning strike.

Meredith Tucker put the Lady Lions (6-2, 1-0 Region A) on the board before the half, while teammate Carmen Wagner scored the equalizer off a Tucker assist with 12 minutes remaining.

Golf

White County won a tri-match over Gainesville and Buford at Chattahoochee Golf Club.

Carson Kimsey of White County shot a team-low 31 in a six-hole round to lead the Warriors (103) to a one-shot advantage over Gainesville (104), and 11 strokes ahead of Buford (112).

Gainesville is scheduled to play White County and Habersham Central today at Mossy Creek in Cleveland.

Tennis

Alec Chandler won in straight sets (6-0, 6-1) in No. 1 singles for Riverside Military Academy, and the Eagles (1-1, 1-0 Region 8-A) defeated Athens Christian 5-0. Riverside Military’s Sibu Khoza won in No. 2 singles (6-0,6-0), while teammate

Brayden Lawson won in straight sets (6-1, 6-1) in No. 3 singles.

In doubles, Riverside Military’s Russell Bolton and Alexi Barr won in the No. 1 slot (6-1, 6-2). In No. 2 doubles, Jacob Baker and David Bryant (6-1, 7-6) held on in the second set to secure the sweep.
