The Dawson County softball team reserved its place in the Class AAA state tournament Tuesday with a 5-4 win in the Region 7-AAA tournament against East Hall in Dawsonville. The two teams played a doubleheader Monday, which saw the Lady Vikings win the first 6-1 and the Lady Tigers take the second 7-4. In Game 3, Madeline Hall hit a first-inning home run before back-to-back homers from Hall and Stephanie Redmon in the third put the Lady Vikings on top 3-0.
