Two women were found fatally shot Wednesday, Feb. 24, and another man has been taken for treatment for serious injuries after a shooting in East Hall, according to authorities.

Buford coach Tony Wolfe earned his 200th win, and daughter Peyton Wolfe got her first high school win pitching with a 10-2 win against East Hall on Thursday in Buford.

Peyton Wolfe pitched three innings, striking out three and earning the win before Kennedy Kotula came in and got the save with two strikeouts over two innings.

Offensively, senior Morgan Walters led Buford (10-0, 3-0 Region 7-AAA) with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning on her only hit. Tessa Daniels went 2 for 3 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored for the Lady Wolves, and Jordan Deep was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs and two runs scored. Noah Sudderth was 1 for 2 with a double and a RBI.

Buford plays host to White County in a makeup game on Tuesday in Buford.

GAINESVILLE 4, CHESTATEE 3: Kayla Street struck out 11 for the Lady Red Elephants in a seventh-inning comeback win Thursday in Gainesville.

Whitney Ledford led Gainesville (3-7) offensively, going 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs. Street and Kayla Montague each went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

The Lady Red Elephants play host to Apalachee on Tuesday at Lanier Point Athletic Complex in Gainesville.

BANKS COUNTY 6, NORTH HALL 4: Shelby Parson hit a two-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to give the Lady Leopards the win on Thursday in Gainesville.

Parson finished the game 3 for 5 with two triples, a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Haley Warner was 3 for 4 with three singles and an RBI for Banks County (7-3, 2-2 Region 7-AAA), and Kaitlyn Stewart went 2 for 4 with two singles.

Mallory Parson earned the win from the circle with six strikeouts over nine innings.

The Lady Leopards play host to White County on Aug. 29 in Homer.

JEFFERSON SWEEPS DOUBLEHEADER: Olivia Husted led the Lady Dragons to 3-1 and 6-1 wins against Social Circle on Thursday in Jefferson.

Husted earned the win pitching in Game 1 with a pair of strikeouts over seven innings, and went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored. In Game 2, she knocked in a two-run home run and finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Savannah Snapp went 1 for 3 with three runs scored and an RBI in Game 2 for Jefferson (7-4, 4-1 Region 8-AA), and Erin Jackson went 2 for 6 with an RBI in the pair of games.

Caitlin Cantrell earned the win pitching in Game 2 for the Lady Dragons.

Jefferson visits Rabun County on Tuesday in Tiger.

Volleyball

NORTH HALL TAKES PAIR: Makenzie Bryant led North Hall with a 10-point service run, 11 aces, 14 digs and a kill in wins against Lakeview Academy (25-15, 25-19) and Johnson (25-8, 25-11) on Thursday in Gainesville.

Julie Daniels added 14 kills, four digs and two aces for North Hall, and Kristina Gregory had 21 assists, seven aces, five digs and four kills. Sydney Cleveland tallied nine digs, six kills, two assists and a block.

BUFORD SPLITS TRI-MATCH: Maggie Roper recorded 22 digs, 15 kills and six aces for Buford in a win against Collins Hill (25-15, 25-17) and a loss to Mill Creek (20-25, 25-21, 25-19) on Thursday in Buford.

Bree Horrocks finished with 10 kills and three blocks for the Lady Wolves (8-7), and Myra Sanchez added 23 assists. Gabby Curry had 10 digs, nine kills and two aces, and Morgan Mitchell tallied 14 assists and six digs.

Buford plays host to West Hall and Decatur on Tuesday in Buford.

LADY SPARTANS BEAT TALLULAH FALLS: Kelsi Jones led West Hall with 16 kills in a win against Tallulah Falls (10-25, 25-19, 28-26) and a loss to Jefferson (25-16, 25-12) on Tuesday in Jefferson.

Alli Busbee added 26 assists for the Lady Spartans, and Mia McKenzie and Kendall Courson contributed as well.

West Hall visits Buford for a tri-match with Decatur on Tuesday in Buford.
