Derek Eder struck out six batters as the Flowery Branch baseball team defeated Clarke Central 10-0 on Monday.

Eder allowed three hits in five innings.

The Falcons (12-4, 7-3 Region 8-AAAAA) scored five runs in the fifth, three in the fourth and two in the second.

Jonathan Hughes and Trey Groves each had two hits and two RBIs for Flowery Branch. Stephen Skeggs also contributed two hits and an RBI, and Marq Kilcoyne added a double and an RBI.

Flowery Branch plays at Salem at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.
