After reaching the second round of the Class AAA state tournament for the first time in school history, the Flowery Branch girls lost to St. Pius X 3-0 on Tuesday at the Dekalb Tennis Center.
Singles player Morgan Reed and the doubles teams of Molly Smith/Nicki Price and Dani Taylor/Bekki Benton lost in straight sets for Flowery Branch.
With the loss, the Lady Falcons’ season is complete.

Jacob Whitenton went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lead Lakeview (15-6, 9-4 Region 8-A).
Dalton Munday went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Ross Biegler went 4-for-5 with two RBIs for Lakeview, which plays host to Towns County at 4:30 p.m. today.

Pitcher Seth Settlemeyer struck out 12 and Orlando Lynch went 2-for-2 with three RBIs for Riverside, which visits Jefferson for a doubleheader at 5 p.m. Friday to complete its season.
