Cole Walden pitched five innings and allowed only one hit for Lumpkin County in a 9-6 win against Pickens Friday in Dahlonega.
Will Anderson, Randy Otis and Nick Leoni each had a home run for the Indians (4-11).

Chad Fulton had a hit and two RBIs and Ian Macintosh had two hits for Lumpkin County, which visits Gilmer at 5:55 p.m. Monday.

LAMBERT 22, FLOWERY BRANCH 10: C.J. Navin and Jesse Brookshire each had three hits, and Cory Sanderson had three RBIs for the Falcons on Friday at Flowery Branch.

Lambert remains undefeated on the season and plays host to Gainesville (13-1, 8-0) at 5:55 p.m. Monday in Suwanee.

Flowery Branch visits Chestatee at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

Soccer

CHESTATEE GIRLS 5, RABUN GAP 3 (THURSDAY): Behind a two-goal performance from Andrea Cardoso, the Lady War Eagles won Thursday at Rabun Gap.

Rachel Wright scored a goal with an assist for Chestatee (4-8-1).

Sharon Sotelo converted a penalty kick while Kelsey Neukum scored with 2:14 left in the game to secure the win for Chestatee which returns to action at Dawson County at 5:30 p.m. April 14.

Tennis

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 3, NORTH HALL 2 (THURSDAY): With three singles wins the Lions won their last match of the regular season Thursday at home.

Mike Fowler, Seth Black and Jackson Beck won for Lakeview in straight sets.

The doubles teams of Eli LoCicero/Charlie Hortenstine and Joe Nedza/Jack Hortenstine earned wins for North Hall.

Both teams return to action in the Region 7-AAA tournament which begins April 13.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 3, NORTH HALL 2 (THURSDAY): With two singles wins from Niki Patel and Jackie Burleson, and a doubles win from the team of Cree Nix/Komal Patel, the Lady Lions won Thursday at home.

North Hall’s only win came at No.2 doubles from the team of Catherine Im/Becca Wren.

Lakeview was forced to default the No.3 singles match.

Each team returns to action in the Region 7-AAA tournament which begins April 13.
