Kaela Davis led the Buford High girls (22-7) with a team-high 23 points Friday night in a 90-40 win against Kendrick in the opening round of the Class AA state playoffs in Buford.
Andraya Carter added 17 points for the Lady Wolves, and MacKenzie Darrah finished with 10.
The defending state champs lead 32-9 after the first period and extended the lead to a comfortable 55-19 margin by halftime.
With the win, the Lady Wolves play host to the River Ridge/North Oconee winner at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Buford.
ALLATOONA GIRLS 64, GAINESVILLE 45: Despite 17 points from senior Rebecca Webster, the Lady Red Elephants (16-11) lost in the opening round of the Class AAA state playoffs Friday in Acworth.
Gainesville made a competitive game of it early, leading 10-9 after the first period and trailing only 21-20 at halftime.
However, the Lady Buccaneers scored a decisive 30 points in the fourth quarter to secure victory.
Elise Spann scored a game-high 26 points for Allatoona (25-4).
Gainesville's season is now finished.
ROME GIRLS 62, FLOWERY BRANCH 45: Tavia Sykes finished with a team-high 15 points and Jacy Ramey added 11 for the Lady Falcons on Friday in the Class AAAA state playoffs in Rome.
With the loss, Flowery Branch's season is now finished at 20-9.
Leading 20-18 to start the second quarter, Flowery Branch was outscored 15-6 in the second quarter and trailed 33-26 at halftime.
Rome put the game away by outscoring the Lady Falcons 18-5 in the fourth quarter.
TOWNS COUNTY GIRLS 78, GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE 27: Ali Bleckley led the Lady Indians (23-6) in the Class A State Tournament action with a team-high 19 points after ending the fourth quarter 6 minutes early Friday night in Hiawassee.
Gabby Arencibia added 15 points for Towns County, and Stephanie Patton and Eryn Cochran each finished with 12.
With the win, the Lady Indians play host to the Darlington/Holy Innocents winner on Tuesday in Hiawassee.
