Sara Viti and Ava Grace Watson each scored 13 points for the Buford girls in a 68-29 win against Dacula in the Region 8-6A tournament semifinals Friday at the Buford City Arena. Ashyia Willis finished with 12 points for the Lady Wolves (23-0).
With the win, Buford will host Habersham Central for the region championship at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Buford.
MOUNT PISGAH GIRLS 58, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 46: Joelle Snyder had a game-high 31 points and three rebounds and three steals for the Lady Lions in the Region 6-A private schools tournament third-place game on Friday. Up next, Lakeview Academy visits Mount Paran in the first round of the Class A private schools state playoffs next week.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 3, JOHNSON 2: Millie Filson broke a scoreless game for the Lady Lions in the 26 minute mark of the second half on a goal with an assist from Hannah Perkins. After Johnson tied it up on a goal from Nancy Torres, McKenna Filson scored on a free kick for Lakeview Academy.
Shortly after, Millie Filson scored on an assist from KcKenna Filson.
In the final seconds, Madison Booker scored for the Lady Knights.
Up next, Lakeview Academy visits Chestatee on Tuesday.

JOHNSON GIRLS 3, NORTH HALL 2: Olivia Carpenter, Zoey Blankenship and Lucy Bagwell all won in singles for the Lady Knights on Friday.
JOHNSON BOYS 3, NORTH HALL 2: Allan Garcia and Leandro Cupps won in singles for the Knights on Friday. In doubles, Johan Vargas and Jesus Valles won for Johnson.
BASEBALL
Cherokee Bluff beat Chestatee, 9-1, on Friday and beat Johnson, 10-0, on Wednesday.
