High school golf: Local girls teams start state tournament with strong showings

White County’s Caroline Craig is 2 over par, 74, sitting in first place after the first round of the Class 4A state tournament Monday at Maple Ridge Golf Club in Columbus. Jefferson’s Caroline Martin carded a score of 75, finishing in third place. North Hall currently stands in seventh place in the team standings after the first round of the Class 3A state tournament.
