Buford’s girls golf team carded a score of 580 to finish sixth in the Class 5A state championship Tuesday at Sunset Hills Country Club in Carrollton. Flowery Branch’s Marcie Hurst, meanwhile, finished with a score of 162 to take sixth in the individual standings. In the Class 3A state championship, North Hall’s boys team placed seventh at the Lakeview Golf Club in Blackshear.
