All three of the area's ranked teams held on to their previous positions in this week's Georgia Prep Football Poll, released Tuesday by The Associated Press.

Unbeaten Gainesville (8-0) is atop the Class AAA rankings after soundly defeating Gilmer last week. This week, the Red Elephants will play host to Johnson (3-6). North Hall (6-2) appeared among others receiving votes for the second straight week. The Trojans will play host to Gilmer on Friday.

In Class AA, Buford remains at No. 3 after its win over Blessed Trinity. The Wolves (7-1) have a big game looming this week against Region 6-AA leader Westminster, the No. 9 team in the AP poll.

Jefferson sits at No. 7 again this week. The Dragons (8-0) will take on North Oconee (7-1) in a pivotal 8-AA matchup. Jefferson will finish the season against region co-leader East Jackson (8-0), which defeated North Oconee on Friday.
