The Buford boys cross country team took second place honors defeating North Forsyth in a six-man tiebreaker at the Buford Inviational, a nine-team 5-kilometer run, on Wednesday.

Matt Johnson finished in 18 minutes and 21 seconds and came in second to lead the Wolves individually.

The Lady Wolves won third place overall at the event and Dottie Kellogg finished fourth with a time of 21:23.

Dawsonville’s Lady Tigers won second place overall and were led by Maddy Walters who finished second with a time of 20:05, and Emily Beusse who finished fifth with a time of 22:30.

Jackson County’s Brittany Aikens came in third place individually to lead the Lady Panthers with a time of 20:52.
