The Lakeview Academy baseball team clinched the Region 8-A title with a 13-0 win against Commerce on Friday in Gainesville.

The title is the Lions' first since 2004, when they won a Class A state championship.

Brett Armour led Lakeview at the plate with a grand slam, a triple and six RBIs. Ralston Cash picked up the win on the mound, pitching a complete game with nine strikeouts and two-hits in five innings.
