The Gainesville High football team has been invited to participate in this year’s Nike 7 on 7 tournament from July 16-17 in Beaverton, Ore.

The Red Elephants, who received the all-expense paid invitation last week, were one of eight teams selected to play in the national tournament.

Gainesville will leave for Oregon on July 15, compete in a round-robin tournament July 16 and the tournament finals on July 17. The tournament is held at the Nike Complex in Beaverton, Ore. and is sponsored by Nike and ESPN.
