Former North Hall baseball coach Trent Mongero was named the High School Baseball Division III, Region 3 Coach of the Year, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced Thursday. Mongero, who earlier this week accepted the head coaching position at Glynn Academy, led the Trojans to the Class 3A state championship by sweeping Piece County in Savannah on May 25. It was North Hall’s first-ever state title in baseball.
