Chris Orr led the East Hall boys with 18 points and J.C. Hampton added 12 in a 74-31 win against Union County on Wednesday in the Region 8-AA tournament quarterfinals in Gainesville.

With the win, the Vikings move on to the region semifinals to face Dawson County at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Hart County.

East Hall jumped to a big lead early with a 13-5 run in the first quarter, then also scored the final 16 points of the second quarter.

With the loss, Union County’s season is now finished.
