Dragons pound six home runs in win over North Oconee

With fifteen hits and six home runs the Jefferson High School baseball team powered past North Oconee, 17-5, in a five-inning game Tuesday in Bogart.

Jake Fields pitched a complete game from the mound while hitting a solo home run and being walked three times at the plate.

Jamie Sexton and Andrew Bartek each hit two home runs for the Dragons who improved their Region 8-AA record to 11-0 and now hold a two-game lead over North Oconee.

Caleb Meek also hit a home run for Jefferson (14-1, 11-0 Region 8-AA).

The Dragons return to action with another Region 8-AA match up when they play host to Banks County at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Jefferson then plays host to a rematch with North Oconee at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
