University of North Georgia sophomore Steven Bower was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association National Pitcher of the Week, the school announced Monday. Bower threw the first no-hitter in school history last Friday as the Nighthawks beat Montevallo, 10-0. The lefty from Lawrenceville struck out 10 while allowing only three walks.
