The Chestatee High girls cross country team placed eighth at the Class AAA state meet in Carrollton on Saturday.

Maggee Wilson led the Lady War Eagles, placing 33rd overall with a time of 21 minutes, 26.63 seconds. Other top-50 finishers for Chestatee included Cara Martin (38th, 21:26.04) and Kelsey Neukum (41st, 21:45.88).

The Lady War Eagles totaled 223 points on the day with an average time of 21:53.35.
