The Buford High softball team remains No. 1 in the latest Prepcountry.com Softball Coaches Poll, released Tuesday.
Union County (19-1-1, 8-0 Region 8A-AA) moved up one spot to No. 2 after defeating Dawson County and Rabun County last week.
The Lady Wolves (19-4, 4-0 Region 6A-AA) begin play in the Region 6-AA tournament, while the Lady Panthers play host Fannin County at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
In the Prepcountry.com Volleyball Coaches Poll, the North Hall Lady Trojans (19-9, 7-0 Area 8A-AAA) remain No. 10.
