By winning a coin toss Tuesday, top-ranked Buford (31-3) will host No. 2 Locust Grove (31-4-1) in the state championship baseball series for Class AAAA, starting with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gerald McQuaig Field. If needed, Game 3 will be played at 5:55 p.m. Monday in Buford.

The 2015 state champion Wolves advanced to the finals with a two-game sweep of Eastside on Monday, while Locust Grove swept Veterans.

Buford has swept each of the first four playoff series in 2016. Locust Grove went to three games in the first round against Crisp County, second round against North Hall and third round against Heritage-Catoosa.
