Branden Jovaag scored 10 of Chestatee’s 22 first-half points and ended the game with 13 points. Sophomore Lamar Brooks also gave the War Eagles scoring off the bench with 11 points, including three 3-pointers.
Parker Smith, Chestatee's leading scorer, was limited to seven points.
Lakeview boys 80, Bremen 62
David Pruett scored a game-high 28 and Haughton Carswell added 15 for the Lions boys first playoff win in school history.
Lakeview Academy plays host to Whitefield Academy/Warren County winner Tuesday night at the Walters gymnasium in Gainesville.
East Hall boys 63, South Atlanta 60
Vikings senior Ken Wise scored a game-high 18 points and Joshten Hopkins added 14 to lead East Hall to a win over Class AAA No. 1 ranked, and USA Today No. 15 ranked nationally, South Atlanta.
East Hall moves on to face the winner of the Cartersville-Stephens County matchup Tuesday night. The location is to be determined.
Flowery Branch boys 68, Southside 59
Sophomores Connor Shaw and Ishmael Hollis each scored 10 points to lead Flowery Branch past Region 5-AAA's fourth-seed Southside on Friday night at Falcons' Fieldhouse.
The victory marks the first Class AAA state basketball playoff victory in the school's history.
Flowery Branch advances to play host to the winner of Sandy Creek/Oconee County on Tuesday.
Greater Atlanta Christian Boys 82, Dawson County 58
Dawson County had four players in double figures and led at the end of the first quarter, but were unable to upset Greater Atlanta Christian on Friday night in Norcross.
The Spartans move on to face Coosa at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Rome.
