Kahmal Wiley scored a team-high 17 points with four rebounds and four blocks, Dylan Orr notched a double-double of 12 points and 12 boards and Banks County’s boys basketball team extended its unbeaten streak to 12 games with a 56-48 win over Social Circle Saturday night.
Also for the Leopards (15-4, 7-0 Region 8-AA), Gabe Martin scored 11 points with four rebounds, while Carl Cleveland added 10 points and six rebounds. Darius Bonds dished a team-high eight assists and had four steals.
Banks County plays at Elbert County 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 80, SOCIAL CIRCLE 48: Jaycie Bowen led with 17 points and Gabby Kennedy was not far behind with 12 points to help the Lady Leopards (13-6, 5-2 Region 8-AA) to their fifth region win. Maddie Thomas and Madison Rogers scored eight points apiece for Banks County as well.
EAST HALL GIRLS 60, FANNIN COUNTY GIRLS 46: Carly Winters scored a game-high 21 points and the Lady Vikings (13-6, 8-0 Region 7-AAA) extended their unbeaten streak in region play at home. Two other starters scored in the double digits as Macy Thomas added 16 points, followed by Kylah Mize with 15.
East Hall hosts Greater Atlanta Christian 6 p.m.Tuesday to continue region play.
EAST HALL BOYS 83, FANNIN COUNTY BOYS 53: Mahki Brown racked up a team-high 18 points and Luke Cooper added 13, as the Vikings (13-6) improved to 7-1 in Region 7-AAA play.
Logan Holt led the Rebels’ scoring efforts with 18 points, followed by Clay Ware with 15.
