Coaches and players from area football teams will participate for the North team in the North/South Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Football Classic held at 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at Memorial Stadium in Columbus.
Commerce coach Steve Savage will serve as head coach for the North team. His assistants include Habersham Central’s Gene Cathcart and Buford’s Jess Simpson.
Area players participating include Zac Crosby of Jefferson, Josh Jackson of Gainesville, Chase Vasser of Chestatee, Zach Mayfield of Habersham Central, Daniel Drummond and Izaan Cross of Flowery Branch and Dallas Lee and Cody Getz of Buford.
