High school tennis scoreboard: Flowery Branch girls sweep Gainesville

Olivia Nance dropped only one game in her No. 2 singles win as the Flowery Branch High girls tennis team topped Gainesville, 5-0, on Thursday in Flowery Branch.

Annabelle Thomas picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory in No. 1 singles for the Lady Falcons (11-1), while Alyssa McSpadden triumphed 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3 singles. Nance’s 6-0, 6-1 victory for Flowery Branch rounded out singles play.

The No. 2 doubles team of Alicia Quast/Kendalle Quast earned a straight-set (6-0, 6-2) win, while Olivia Correa/Brenna Martin claimed victory in No. 1 doubles (7-5, 6-3).

NORTH HALL BOYS 5, EAST HALL 0: Christian Boychuk won every game against his No. 2 singles opponent for a 6-0, 6-0 victory as the Trojans swept their Region 7-3A rivals Thursday.

No. 3 singles player Kody Dills pulled off a 6-0, 6-1 win for North Hall, while teammate Masa Kobayashi rallied for a victory in No. 1 singles (4-6, 6-3, 6-2). The Trojans’ No. 1 doubles team of Ethan Surles/Forrester Terry won 6-0, 6-4, and Jonathan Elder/Brantley Moore cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 2 doubles.

North Hall (4-5, 2-1 region) travels to face Blessed Trinity on Monday in Roswell.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 5, EAST HALL 0: The Lady Trojans got 6-0, 6-0 wins from both No. 2 singles player Christen Barnes and No. 3 singles player Carsen Baumgardner on Thursday.

Sydney Patterson was victorious in No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-1), Ella Oxley/Raquel Kallab earned the win in No. 2 doubles (6-0, 6-0) and Lauren Davis/Baylee Turner prevailed in No. 1 doubles (6-0, 6-2) for North Hall.

The Lady Trojans (7-2, 3-0 Region 7-3A) host Blessed Trinity on Monday at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville.
