High school softball: East Hall wins twice in Region 7-3A tournament

East Hall’s Macy Banks threw a no-hitter in a 9-0 win against Dawson County and pitched five innings in a come-from-behind 12-4 win against Lumpkin County in the Region 7-3A tournament on Wednesday. 

From the circle in the first game, Banks had two strikeouts and walked just one Lady Tigers batter, in addition to playing error-free ball.

Banks, Carley Cox, Jennifer Lopez, Calli Hardison and Gracie Smith each chipped in multiple hits for East Hall. 

In Game 2, Abigail Adams knocked a grand slam in the second inning. 

Smith also had a pair of hits for the Lady Vikings. 

Banks allowed all four runs, three hits and racked up three strikeouts. 

Up next, East Hall will face the North Hall/Lumpkin County winner at 6 p.m. in the region championship.
