High school soccer: Flowery Branch girls team wraps up perfect regular season with 10-0 win

Caroline Wysocki recorded a hat trick for the Flowery Branch girls soccer team as it beat East Jackson 10-0 on Thursday to complete the regular season with a perfect 18-0 mark. With the win, the Lady Falcons host Kell to open the Class 5A state tournament at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Flowery Branch. 

Also for the Lady Falcons, Larsyn Reid and McKenzie Kent each scored twice. Megan Shadbolt, Izzy Salgado and Lauren Durling each chipped in a goal for Flowery Branch, which is also the region champion. 

JOHNSON BOYS 6, LOGANVILLE 1: Michael Arcia contributed a goal with an assist from Cole Bowen, and added an assist for the Knights on Thursday. 

Junior Arellano scored a goal assisted by Rigo Campa for the Knights. Marco Vazquez found the back of the net with an assist from Arcia, while teammate and Jairo Rios scored a goal for Johnson. 

A Loganville defender committed an own goal.

Johnson hosts Kell in the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Oakwood.
